Thin pen strokes are easier to retain when the source is sharp, evenly lit and clearly separated from the paper.
Use dark ink
Black or dark-blue ink usually creates stronger contrast against white paper and clearer separation around thin strokes.
Add even lighting
Photograph the signature in soft, even light. Avoid harsh shadows created by your phone, hand or nearby objects.
Hold the camera directly above
A straight camera angle reduces perspective distortion and keeps the signature’s natural shape.
Keep the image in focus

Crop unnecessary space

These terms are related, but they are not interchangeable.
Transparent signature image
A transparent signature is a raster image—usually a PNG—containing visible handwriting with no paper background.
It is a reusable visual asset. By itself, it does not prove who placed it on a document.
Electronic signature
An electronic signature is an electronic sound, symbol or process associated with a record and used by a person with the intent to sign.
A signature image may form part of that process, but legal effectiveness can depend on consent, attribution, retention and record requirements.
Digital signature
A digital signature commonly refers to a cryptographic method that can help verify document integrity and signer identity through certificates and related technology.
PxBee does not create cryptographic digital signatures or document audit trails.

Tips for a Cleaner Transparent Signature
- Use the original scan when possible. A scan normally provides more even lighting than a phone photo.
- Increase contrast before uploading. If the signature is faint, use a clearer source or improve visible contrast without changing its shape.
- Avoid lined or patterned paper. Page lines may remain in the result or be mistaken for handwriting.
- Check thin strokes. Zoom in and confirm that light pen marks, dots and small loops were not removed.
- Look for background halos. Preview on white and colored backgrounds to reveal leftover gray or white pixels.
- Download as PNG. JPG does not support transparency, so use PNG when the background must remain clear.
- Keep the original proportions. Do not stretch the signature disproportionately when placing it in a document.
- Store it carefully. A reusable signature image is sensitive; avoid public links and unsecured folders.
